A Sandwich To Try-At Cheddar's
We went to stockpile for our monthly grocery shopping and we stopped in a restaurant chain called Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen. It is our cheat...er, "reset" day on our diet and we can eat a few more calories than normal. I was looking at a menu and my wife ordered a Philly Cheese-steak, Kelly ordered country fried steak, and I ordered something called "The Monte Cristo". Now, as awesome as the name of the sandwich is(awesome is that movie), this is its description:
"Smoked ham, smoked turkey, two cheeses, battered and fried until golden, with raspberry preserves and dusted with powdered sugar."
So the bread is like a donut, then stuffed with smoked meat and cheese, fried to a golden brown, and a raspberry sauce to dip. Oh and there is powdered sugar on top.
The mixture of salt and sweet was perfect. Along with the raspberry preserves it was scrumptious
